City tour from 10.00 to 18.00
During the excursion you will visit:
Park named after 28 Panfilov guardsmen. There are three unique objects in the park. The first is the Cathedral - a monument of wooden architecture, built in 1904-1907 according to the design of the architect Zenkov. The second is the Memorial of Glory, built in 1975 for the 30th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The third is a building - a monument of wooden architecture, which houses the Republican Museum of Musical Instruments.
After the park, you will visit the Green Bazaar, beloved by the townspeople, where it is impossible to resist buying while listening to the inviting cries of the sellers. This is a unique opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of a real Asian bazaar, its bright colors and smells, and, of course, its gambling trading. At the bazaar you can buy famous oriental sweets - just don’t forget to bargain!
After lunch, you will head to Republic Square - the main square of Almaty, where major city events took place and are still taking place. Here are the Akimat (city hall), the Independence Monument and the Central Museum, where about 300,000 different exhibits are collected, reflecting the history of Kazakhstan, from dinosaurs to the Bronze Age, from the first nomads to the Soviet Union and modern Kazakhstan. A tour of the museum is included in the tour.
Next, your adventures will continue on Mount Kok-Tobe, where you will ascend by cable car and admire the magnificent panoramic view of the city.
