Almaty – the city of a thousand colors (option No. 1)

City tour from 9.30 to 19.00

After breakfast, you will head to the Medeo tract (1690 meters above sea level), where the world's largest high-mountain ice skating rink is located, as well as a dam that protects the city from destructive mudflows that form on the peaks of the Western Tien Shan.

After a 20-minute dizzying climb in the cable car cabin above the tops of majestic fir trees, you will find yourself at an altitude of 2260 meters above sea level, where the 1st level of the Shymbulak ski resort is located, with restaurants, a ski school and a mountain hotel. The resort is famous for its mild climate with plenty of sunny days, persistent snow cover and magnificent surrounding views, photographs of which you can take during your walk.

After lunch, you will go to another part of the Ili-Alatau National Park. There you can walk along the Ayusai gorge. On the way back, stop at the falcon farm “Sunkar”, where you will enjoy a bird show. You will be shown 5 different types of hunting birds, told about their characteristics and their role in the history and society of the Kazakhs.

Another stop along the way (optional) is the Park of the First President.
